Packing list & things to know about camp
What to Bring: YOUR SMILE…. and…
Bedding/sleeping bag, pillow, towels.
(If staying in the bunkhouse, we recommend bringing an additional pad/inflatable mattress. Each camper has use of upper and lower bunk, so bunkbed mattresses can be doubled up.)Clothes for a week: check weather forecast before coming to camp. Cool to hot, dry or rainy. The meeting tent is open-air with canvas walls. A warm jacket is a must for cool evenings!
Personal toiletries and medications, if any.
Clock/alarm. The camp bell is rung before meals, but may not be heard well throughout camp.
Flashlight.
Preferred cushion, chair/low seat; folding chairs are available (or the floor).
Earplugs, insect repellant, sunscreen, swimsuit, beach towel.
Leave Behind: Pets*; non-prescription drugs and alcohol. Please, no intoxicants! Also, no fragrances.
Dervish Bazaar: We welcome vendors to sell their wares (e.g., art, jewelry, clothing, etc.). A 10% tithe to NWSC is collected on all sales.
*NWSC has a no pet policy. If you have a certified Service Animal you wish to bring to camp, please let the Registrar AND Camp Manager know in advance, so appropriate accommodations can be made. You will need to provide certification paperwork before arriving at camp. Companion and emotional support animals may not be brought to camp.
