A Typical Day at Northwest Sufi Camp

Beginning at 7 a.m. QiGong on the basketball court
Morning Practices in meeting tent
8 a.m. Breakfast
9:15 a.m. All-camp class in the meeting tent.
Includes Dances of Universal Peace; may include Zikr*, teachings, practices.
Kids join us in the meeting tent at the beginning of the all-camp class, and then are energetically blessed off to their program.
11 a.m. Morning class: class offerings will be outlined in the schedule, available before camp begins.
12:30 p.m. Lunch
1:30 p.m. Rest/Free Time
3 p.m. First Afternoon Class
4:30 p.m. Second Afternoon Class
6 p.m. Dinner
7:30 p.m. Evening Program
9:30 p.m. Late Night offerings (optional)
*Zikr/Dhikr: a chanted, sung, or meditative practice of Remembrance, remembering the essential Unity, most often using Arabic phrases.
Suggestions for a happy, sustainable camp
Pace yourself and prioritize self-care.
Take time to reflect (creek, labyrinth, naps).
Participation is voluntary—skip sessions or activities without issue.
Weeklong immersion can be intense; rest when needed.
Stay hydrated.
Balance deep engagement with time to absorb and rest.
