Eating at camp

The Camp Cedar Ridge kitchen staff serves delicious meals with support for special diets: indicate your preferred diet when registering (e.g., omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or dairy free). There’s shopping in nearby Vernonia and you’ll have access to a refrigerator to store your (clearly labeled) personal food.

All meals are served buffet style, with hot main courses and cold options at every meal (e.g., granola and yogurt available at breakfast; salad bar at lunch and dinner). Snacks are provided for children and youth during daytime programs, and for everyone after the evening sessions.

A culture of service

Before arriving, campers who are able choose a karma yoga task like ringing the bell before meals or vacuuming the rugs in our meeting tent. A long standing camp tradition, karma yoga allows us to embody sacred service and be an active part of the camp ecosystem. An online sign-up form will be sent to all registrants to select your preferred service opportunity.

These tasks take on average about two hours, and help keep costs low. The group camaraderie makes karma yoga an enriching and bonding aspect of the camp experience!
