Kids Camp

Elemental Play: The Four Elements

This year’s Kids Camp will be led by a seasoned team of kids/youth camp leads. Jabbara Bittin Duggan and Karima Alison Halderman return this year to provide opportunities for play and learning about the Four Elements. Add Nina Matthews leading singing -- even some of her own songs -- and we have a knock-out program!

Tentative schedule

Every day at camp we all gather in the meeting tent
for the morning circle of Dances of Universal Peace to start the day.
We bless the Kids Camp on their way when they depart for their daily program.
Every day at Kids Camp begins with a song and dances, and name games to meet each other.

The morning sessions will focus on the four elements:

Monday: Earth - start clay village, earth scavenger hunt

Tuesday: Water - watercolor painting, face painting, pool time, go to river, work on clay village, tie dye

Wednesday: Fire - complete clay village, erupt volcano

Thursday: Air - kite-making, copper art, air drying clay beads, creatures, shapes

Afternoons will be game playing, as in previous years.
