COVID/Respiratory Illness Policy
Updated 5/17/25
We endeavor to maintain a safe and healthy camp for all campers.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-21, we know we will never be completely free of the possibility of transmission of the COVID virus, particularly of asymptomatic (or "sleeper") cases. To that end, while NWSC will not require a pre-checkin COVID test, it is strongly encouraged that each person do so. Please test at home before beginning your travel to camp. A positive test would absolutely preclude full or partial attendance. A full refund will be given.
Please stay home if you have any suspected symptoms of COVID or any respiratory, cold-like symptoms or any other contagious condition.
NWSC will purchase a supply of COVID-19 tests which will be available at the first aid station in the event you develop any symptoms at camp and would like to test for COVID. If you should test positive while at camp, we request that you isolate yourself from other campers to avoid spreading what you have to other campers, and make arrangements to return home.
We recommend the guidelines of the CDC’s Respiratory Illnesses website.
Thank you for your care in taking care of yourself and our community.
